From the reviews
Nick, Brian and the staff at Athletico exceeded expectations while helping me with my injury. Unlike some other places, they do offer dry needling and/or cupping to help accelerate the healing process. I appreciate all the accommodations for my schedule but also for all the laughs.
I went to Athletico Parma for an elbow injury and worked with Nick for 4 months. Nick was the first person to validate my feelings with my injury and showed he truly cared to help me get better before going back to school. I could not be more grateful for all of the help I received at Athletico.
Athletico in Parma is great. Nick has been super attentive and helpful in recovering from a shoulder injury. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend (have to many friends/family). Will forever go here for any PT needs.
I’ve been a patient at Athletico Parma since May 2025 and EVERYONE here is awesome! The entire staff is kind, patient, and compassionate. Nick is top-notch—he truly cares about his patients and it shows in everything he does. The clinic is always clean and well maintained, which makes every visit comfortable.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
