From the reviews
Best place I've ever had therapy at! Tom was my primary therapist and he was very kind and very professional. He knew the right modalities to treat my balance issues. After that success, I went back before and after my total knee replacement. I completed my therapy there and was thrilled with my discharge.
I have been working with Athletico in Marion for several months and have been extremely impressed. The office manager, Lori, is friendly and always went the extra mile to work with insurance, appointment times, and follow ups. My main therapist, Thomas, is very knowledgeable and thorough in my treatments.
I had a distal bicep tendon rupture and underwent surgery, and afterwards I completed my PT at Athletico Physical Therapy. I couldn’t be more satisfied with the care I received. Tom, Sidnee, and Marcel were all outstanding. They were knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely invested in my recovery.
Outstanding professionals! I was severely debilitated by a rotor cuff injury and resulting pain. After just a few sessions of physical therapy, I began to see significant relief and can now use my right arm again. Many thanks to Tom Kilpatrick, PT and all the friendly staff for helping me get back on my feet!
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
