Hi, we are Mark and Maria Baker and we had a marvelous experience with Joseph at Sandy Springs! Maria’s first experience with Dr. John’s offices was 2006 and I experienced them in 2012! We live in Texas now and when we are in Atlanta we always book an appointment with them.
I had the most amazing experience at Art of healing in Midtown. I received a deep tissue massage from Sherri and it was fantastic. The best massage I have ever had hands-down. They were so accommodating to me even though I arrived late Sherri was patient kind and had a magical touch.
This was my first time trying acupuncture and I was very pleasantly surprised! Michelle Arms was very detail-oriented and calm. She asked me about physical discomfort but also emotional. She explained each part of the process and answered all my questions and curiosities.

What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
