From the reviews
This was my first time experiencing acupuncture and “fire” cupping. The acupuncture was really comfortable. I was worried about feeling the pokes but Dr. Burton was very skilled and I did not feel a thing. Once the acupuncture needles were in I felt my muscles begin to relax.
I recently saw Dr. Zachary Burton for acupuncture and cupping on my knee, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. He was knowledgeable, professional, and really took the time to explain everything so I felt comfortable.
Dr. Burton took great care of me. Over the Summer I was working out and during my chest exercise I strained my left pec. When I arrived, Dr. Burton made sure everything was clean and ready for our session. I showed him the area of my injury and he immediately knew what to do.
I’ve been seeing Dr Zach Burton at Ancient Solutions Acupuncture for cervical radiculopathy, and he’s been the one place where I consistently feel real relief. The combination of E-stim on the needles, cupping, and gua sha gives me more improvement than anything else I’ve tried.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
