What clients say about the cupping here
“My range of motion was still limited even though I continued utilizing my PT exercises at home and I worked out 3-4 times a week with a personal trainer.”
“This personal report documented everything I shared and a summary of his professional summation of prescriptions, and connections to a doctor who specialized help with joint pain.”
“She was very kind and listened to my concerns and addressed them all and was available if I ever had questions for her.”
“The stretches that he uses aren't "fun" (I tend to go more incomfortable in the movement and pressure to get thr muscles to unlock) but the results are amazing.”
“If you are tired of getting the runaround from your physician, trust me, it is worth every penny to go to Dr.”
“Joseph used Rossiter Massage techniques to stretch the thigh muscles during my wife’s first visit.”
From the reviews
Dr. Pendergrast was recommended to me by one of my doctors in Athens, GA. I felt Gail's care and concern even over the phone. I drove to Augusta from Athens and my appointment with Dr. Pendergrast was delightful. Dr. Pendergrast is a caring, intuitive healer who assured me of my own ability to heal.
I had the opportunity to attend a speaking engagement where Dr & Mrs Pendergrast put on for Breast Cancer Awareness. The event was very interactive! We had a delicious dinner, we had excellent speakers, we received a book written by Dr. Pendergrast and we got first hand interactions to ask him questions.
When I finished my first appointment with Dr Pendergrast, I left with three pages of notes. This personal report documented everything I shared and a summary of his professional summation of prescriptions, and connections to a doctor who specialized help with joint pain.
I cannot properly express with words how wonderful this place is! Dr Pendergrast and Gail are the most kind and genuine people you will ever meet. Dr. P ACTUALLY listens and CARES! He does not dismiss you, he makes you feel HEARD. He is a knowledgeable doctor who takes a whole person approach to your care.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
