Three years ago, I began my first ever accupunture and cupping treatments with Lanna for muscular skeletal and nueropathic pain along with degenerative disc disease and chronic pain syndrome. Over these few years, I've had many treatments which have been helpful to manage these various conditions.
I just had my first appointment with Lana yesterday. I arrived at her office feeling as though I was dragging 500 lbs behind me and my mood reflected this. During the time I was on the table I began to feel the weight lift, the positive energy began to flow, and my mood/outlook improved.
Lanna did an amazing job in my shoulders. After many hours of painting my house my shoulder, scapulas, and neck were super tight and sore. After just one session with her and everything feels great!! I will for sure going back again.
Lanna is amazing and I highly recommend her. More than a few times, I have pointlessly lived with a pain for days or weeks only to find out Lanna could resolve my pain after just a session or two. She covers such a wide variety of areas.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
