I came to ADC after a full year of marathon training. To say my body was begging for a reprieve is an understatement. Parking was great, I found a spot in the front of the suite. The lobby was clean, bright, and welcoming. The massage suite itself was very inviting and relaxing, too. The massage was even better.
I had a massage with Alexis and it was sooo good! I used to have phobia/anxiety with massage with previous experience because I got sick the day after and my body feel sore, but Alexis made me feel very comfortable and release all the tension in my body.
From the moment I walked into ADC Serenity Hands, I felt a sense of peace & relaxation. The massage was absolutely incredible & every movement was soothing, intentional, & deeply restorative. She was able to find & release so many knots & areas of tension that I had been carrying for far too long.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
