I’ve had acupuncture several times in the past, and compared to others, Emma is much gentler — I didn’t feel a thing when the needle went in! Her skill is truly exceptional. I went in for acupuncture and cupping to treat tight muscles in my shoulder, and after a 45-minute session, my shoulder felt much more relaxed.
Emma is absolutely wonderful. I initially went in for cupping and to ask questions about acupuncture since I was curious to try it. The cupping was great and I booked an appointment for acupuncture a few weeks later. She’s incredibly gentle and explained everything well, which made me comfortable enough to even try it.

What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
