From the reviews

I came to see doctor Shi after being given a diagnosis of infertility by a conventional doctor. After 10 acupuncture sessions with dr. Shi we were pregnant with our son, who is now a wonderful 14 year old. Dr. She also evaluated and worked with my dad, and warned us that he might be precancerous.

I am the receptionist at Acupuncture Medical, but I have had a treatment by Jeanne Andrews. It was my first time doing Acupuncture and I can attest that it is AMAZING! Dr. Shi is very kind and all of our patients check out extremely relaxed and pleased with our services.

Have been at this practice for more than thirty years. Dr.Shi has renewed my energy and allowed me to be physically active while mitigating the pain from various illnesses, injuries and aging. When I initially saw her I could barely keep my arms from falling during the muscle test.

Dr. Shi is amazing at what she does, she listened to all of my concerns. My 1st treatment I felt a major relief from stress & anxiety, and I was able to accomplish things that I’d been struggling with for weeks. I’ve had 3 sessions so far and I’m about 95% myself. I have 2 sessions to go, I wish I’d known about Dr.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
