Why Acupuncture Health Care is listed — cupping is a treatment, not a Google category, so we only list a provider when there's real proof they offer it. Here's what we found: “eridians, collaterals, and sub-channels. Each meridian corresponds to an organ system. Disease arises when energy flow becomes blocked or imbalanced. Treatments restore circulation and balance. Acupuncture, acupressure, cupping, and…” source →

From the reviews
6 months of back/neck pain and arm numbness...multiple doctors, chiropractors, physical therapy, muscle relaxers, steroids, MRIs, X-rays and finally a neurosurgeon that told me to find an acupuncture source. I spent thousands of dollars with no relief. Laura had me on the way to recovery in 3 treatments!!!!
Laura is astounding. Her depth and breadth of knowledge is incredible, and her warmth and down-to-earth personality put you immediately at ease. I prefer to avoid medications in general, and Laura has helped me with a number of things, from anxiety to joint inflammation to sleep issues.
Several years ago I had an issue with my sciatica. There was numbness in the side of my leg. My general practitioner prescribed pain pills. This only covered up my pain. A friend told me about Laura so I thought i would try. After only about three or four treatments my leg felt 100% better.
Laura McCoy is amazing at what she does! I was afraid of seeing an orthopedic Dr. For my knee pain because I knew what they were going to recommend ( Cortizone shot!
Booking hijama (wet cupping) at Acupuncture Health Care
Acupuncture Health Care comes up as a provider that offers hijama — wet cupping, where the skin is lightly punctured after suction so a small amount of blood is drawn. If you're booking hijama specifically, a few things are worth asking before you go. First, sterility is everything — a reputable practitioner uses a fresh, single-use kit (new blades and cups) for every client and follows clean, gloved technique. It's completely fair to ask how they handle this. Second, many people booking hijama want a same-gender practitioner — ask whether that can be arranged. Third, ask about aftercare and whether they observe particular days if that matters to you.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
