From the reviews
I had an amazing experience at Acupuncture Health and Wellness! Roman Khodik, the acupuncturist, is exceptional—he truly cares about his patients. On my first day, he carefully assessed my pain levels, set clear goals for my treatment plan, and provided acupuncture, cupping, and massage when needed.
Roman and his staff are the best acupuncturists and massage therapists I’ve ever been to!! The minute you come into the clinic, they make you feel at home and the rooms are super comfortable!! Roman's knowledge of the body is impressive, and when he inserted the needles I didn’t even feel it.
I experienced a spine and neck injury and wanted to go the holistic route. I researched Dr Roman, and so far I received two treatments of Acupuncture, and cupping. I am Looking forward to my third treatment, he knows where every knot is without having to say a word.
Roman Khodik provides a very thorough service and is very engaged with his patients to ensure they get to wellness. I had severe pain from a pinched disc in my neck. In about 6 weeks I am pain free and feeling great. The office is very welcoming and well managed by the front desk manager.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
