From the reviews
This was my first experience with acupuncture, so I don’t have a comparison point. Acupuncture Connections was on a recommended provider list I recieved, and I have been a client for about four months. I’ve seen all three practitioners, each offering a slightly different approach—yet all equally beneficial.
Acupuncture Connections is an amazing health resource and atmosphere for healing. I began working with Robert back in 2013 and his skills, compassion and dedication to helping my elderly mom and me was a tremendous tool for us. Mom was 88 and I was her caregiver - there was lots of stress, his help was a game changer.
Acupuncture Connections has been amazing! I started coming here for perimenopausal symptoms and I can’t believe the difference it’s made. My sleep is better, I have more energy, and I just feel more balanced overall. The staff is absolutely wonderful—so kind, welcoming, and really take the time to listen.
I have been an acupuncture patient of Robert Yauckoes for a few years now and it’s high time I took the time to write this endorsement. I genuinely look forward to my treatments every week happily making the 40 minute pilgrimage for my sessions and deeply grateful that I was referred to him as a "rock star" in the art…
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
