Great experience, I had a stroke back in May 1, 2007 that practically took my life, I was paralyzed on the right side of my body. I was treated at Memorial Hospital in Hollywood.
Both my wife & I have been under Dr. Nguyen's care on multiple occasions. As a medical practitioner myself, I am very discerning of who I will allow to treat me or my family. Dr. Nguyen's credentials, knowledge & skills are impeccable.
First time trying acupuncture. And I must say the Doctor was knowledgeable, respectful, professional, punctual and made my first time experience GREAT. My appointment was set for 2pm. As my Grandmother would say, on time is late. I arrived 30 minutes prior, to complete expected paper work. Was called in promptly at 2p.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
