From the reviews

Came to Dr. Zhao because her practice came highly recommended and it was the best decision I have ever made. For background, I have suffered from debilitating period cramps for over 10 years. Every period I am struggling to stand, function, and eat. The pain is so severe I throw up and become dizzy.

★★★★★ — Sahar, Dec 2024

Dr. Zhao is wonderful! I’m so grateful to have found her and her knowledgeable and thorough team! We moved here from Denver where we had the best acupuncturist and access to excellent natural health care. Finding Dr. Zhao has truly been a gift!

★★★★★ — Adrienne, Jun 2018

Dr. Zhao is simply the best. She is so caring and compassionate and knowledgeable and her treatments and herbs really work! I especially recommend her for women’s health and infertility issues.

★★★★★ — Alissa, May 2023

I was a walk in and I recommend you call first, however, I was served and had an amazing experience. Course Dr. Zhao is very friendly, knows her TCM and has great acupressure therapists as well. Rose found the muscle fiber cluster in my chest that kept me from Calisthenics for two weeks.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
