From the reviews

I was in dire straits with a low back injury right before an overseas trip. Tory got me in to see her right away. She was caring, knowledegable and thorough. The acupuncture treatment, cupping and Chinese medicine almost immediately got me moving again- without pain. I am deeply grateful to her.

I had Bell's Palsy about 5 years ago. this fall some of the system recurred. I was not a patient of Davied at this time. I called the office and David saw me that afternoon. I have had acupuncture over many years with Arlene Myers. I am very familiar with acupuncture.

Acupuncture rescued me from debilitating peripheral neuropathy after western medicine and treatments left me homebound. The relief from my PTSD induced anxiety and insomnia were bonuses as I discovered the effectiveness of acupuncture for other life and health issues.

Visiting Acupuncture & Associated Therapies was such a relaxing & rejuvenating experience. David is very attentive & knowledgeable, tailoring the treatment to my needs. In just one visit, I noticed less pain & stiffness in my shoulders & wrists. Will definitely be going back, highly recommend!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
