I first came to Dr. Piao after a very complicated pregnancy suffering severe preeclampsia and severe right sided bells palsy(related to pregnancy). My baby was born premature at 30 weeks. I was completely stressed out with his long stay in the NICU.

I had a really positive experience receiving acupuncture treatment from Dr. Lianchun Piao for my knee pain. From the very beginning, Dr. Piao took the time to thoroughly understand my condition—asking detailed questions about my symptoms, prior treatments, and the exact areas of discomfort.
Dr Piao is a very knowledgeable and informative provider. I’ve never tried acupuncture before and decided to give it a try due to a range of symptoms. I’ve previously had PT for my back which helped significantly and adding this a few months after has helped keep it at bay.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
