From the reviews
Cute office in a fantastic location in Calabasas. I have had several appointments with Jennifer after I had a car accident and hurt my shoulder. The relief I have had since I have started getting acupuncture and cupping is unbelievable. I love that the office is clean and comfortable.
I don't write reviews very often, but this one deserves it. Dr. Jen has been working on me for about a couple of months. She is treating me for two medical problems. One of them she was able to resolve with Chinese medicine in about 4 visits when medical doctors were not able to resolve in 7 years.
I have received top notch service from Dr. Blake. She has essentially resolved a long term knee issue that I have had. Her upbeat and welcoming disposition and bedside manner let you know you are in good hands... literally! She listens to your concerns and is thoughtful in her approach.
Dr. J is out of this world! When you first meet her, you feel her warmth and see her kindness in her huge beautiful smile! Then you hear her speak to you and she is beyond brilliant!!! I hired Dr.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
