From the reviews

Look no further for a chiropractor! I recently had a wonderful experience with Dr. Ben Haynes, at Active Chiropractic Rehab and Acupuncture and would highly recommend their services. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and at ease.

When I came to Dr Haynes I was not doing well at all. Severe pain and my quality of life was very poor. Dr Haynes is by far the very best caregiver I have ever met. After continued, regular care, I am now able to once again enjoy hiking, lifting weights, work at home and my progress has been astounding.

Dr Haynes has been great to work with. He was wonderful with my daughter and made her feel very comfortable. He has helped me with my tmj pain and neck pain. Him and his staff have always been friendly and helpful.

We have been seeing Dr. Ben Haynes for the past two years; it has been wonderful!!! My husband is a stroke survivor, and has constant back pain due to the impact to his body. Dr. Haynes methods has given my husband consistent relief, which is MUCH appreciated.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
