Here's what we found: “bones are said to be restored to their proper position. From the reviews

I started using Thea Delaney 5 days post op for lymphatic drainage massage as recommended by my surgeon. She does NOT disappoint. After my first session my very large dark purple bruise had faded to a light yellow within 24/48 hours.

★★★★★ — M, Apr 2022

I have had an incredible and transformative experience at A Step Beyond Massage Therapy. I came in with intense pain, difficulty breathing, and with muscles that were almost completely locked up. Derek McGrath has helped me completely eliminate these issues.

★★★★★ — Peter, May 2025

I have been getting myofascial release massages biweekly from Derek for months and I can’t express how grateful I am to find release. My neck was surgically fused in 2014. The tissue around the fusion is atrophied and extremely tight.

★★★★★ — D, May 2025

My fiancé and I had a great couples massage here. Totally worth the price, we loved it. The hot stone massage was great but I think next time I’ll go with their standard deep massage to really get into the problem areas.

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
