From the reviews

Love going here for Cranial Sacral Therapy! (If you haven't tried it, look it up and try it. You won't regret it.) My husband gets the full massages and loves this place as well. When you get into the building, go down the stairs on your left and it's the first doorway down the hall.

After having been to dozens of massage therapists with a lack of knowledge and technique, I finally decided to go to A Healing Touch. Jamilah was an incredibly skilled bodyworker. She inquired about all the issues I have been having with my joints and muscle aches, and picked the right style of treatment to help me.

Kelly has been helping me in finding techniques not available in the normal medical field. A true much needed gift today to help get rebalanced. Kelly has the ability to release deep long term knotted muscle with the gentleness of touch. Just an amazing treat to witness first hand!

I had a wonderful experience at the Healing Touch. Jamilah is it true empath and a master of her craft. She is a very calming presence, and her studio is also set up to be a very calming, peaceful ambiance. I would highly recommend her and I cannot wait to go back!

What to expect from your first cupping session

New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.

Cupping isn't for everyone — if you're on blood thinners, pregnant, or have a skin condition or bleeding disorder, check with your doctor first, and always tell your practitioner about health concerns before a session. This page is directory information, not medical advice.
