I have been to this location several times in the past year. This is one of the best massage parlor I've been to. The receptionist is welcoming. The rooms were clean, and there were no heavy aromas. I've had Berkeley twice as my masseuse. The other time, I had a masseuse named Jamie, I believe.
This is one of the top spots I think about, if not THE top spot I think about whenever I want to get bodywork done in the Shreveport-Bossier area. My recent visit compelled me to write a review; I just love this place so much. I recommend Kelly and Jessica, but, whoever you go with here you can't go wrong.
My wife and I went for the hour long prenatal massage and a swedish massage. Staff was extremely professional and did an excellent job. My wife is 6 months pregnant and she thought it was great. I'm a big guy and the little lady did my massage crushed me with her elbows (in a good way).
Great massage, gentle touch, great mood, professional, and wonderful service. My favorite part of this experience was the silence. No one was trying to talk to me while I was getting my massage, which was peaceful. The masseuse was very careful and cautious as she worked. They gave me a token of good luck when I left.
What to expect from your first cupping session
New to cupping? Here's the short version. What happens: the practitioner places cups on the skin — most often the back, shoulders, or legs — and creates suction (with a pump, or briefly with a flame for fire cupping). Cups either stay put for a few minutes (dry cupping) or are glided over oiled skin (massage cupping). A session is usually 15–45 minutes, often added to a massage or acupuncture visit. The marks: cupping leaves round, bruise-like circles that are normal and usually fade in a few days to a couple of weeks — they're discoloration from the suction, not an injury, and shouldn't really hurt. What to wear: comfortable clothing that gives access to the area being treated. Afterward: drink water, keep the area warm, and skip intense sun or a hot sauna right after.
